Our History – Where Tax and Finance Meet.
In 1990 John W. Davis, CPA, CFP®, CVA, PFS, founded his CPA practice (now known as Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs) with the mission to provide proactive tax planning solutions and financial peace of mind for clients, their businesses, their children and future generations. It quickly became clear to him that offering financial planning services was a logical and necessary step in promoting the client’s overall financial health, so he launched the firm’s financial planning entity John Davis Associates in 1990 - later rebranded as Copper Leaf Financial in 2015.
At Copper Leaf Financial we bring together holistic and comprehensive financial planning with the careful, tax-aware eye of the CPA to give clients the confidence to move forward and achieve their financial goals. Our licensed CPAs are also Certified Financial Planner® professionals with an unparalleled understanding of how to help clients benefit from today’s complex decisions about taxes, retirement, estate planning, investments and insurance. CPAs have long been considered the standard for financial knowledge, objectivity and integrity; prepared to handle the most demanding tax situations.
